Discover Made in Kenya homeware, kitchenware and hospitality products from VituZote.
We work with Kenyan makers, manufacturers and designers to develop and source practical, well-made products for homes, restaurants, hotels and lodges. Our collection includes locally made products in wood, recycled steel, soapstone, textiles and other materials, combining Kenyan manufacturing capability with considered design and everyday function.
Some products begin with a new design idea. Others start with materials already available — including timber and steel left over from larger manufacturing processes — and the question of how they can be turned into useful, desirable products.
Our Kenyan-made range includes products from Zuri by KLI, SunnyDaze, QP and other local makers and manufacturers.
Through these collaborations, Vitu Zote has learned that successful local manufacturing requires more than a “Made in Kenya” label. Good products depend on material knowledge, thoughtful design, reliable production, consistent finishing and an understanding of how the product will actually be used.
The collection includes Kenyan-made chopping boards, serving boards, trays, home accessories, kitchen accessories, tableware and hospitality products, with pieces suitable for both domestic and commercial environments.
Working with Kenyan Makers
Vitu Zote has worked with Kenyan manufacturers and makers for several years, developing products and learning from their knowledge of materials and production.
Our work with Zuri by KLI has included transforming steel and manufacturing offcuts into functional home and hospitality products.
Through our collaboration with SunnyDaze, timber offcuts from furniture production have been repurposed into chopping boards, serving pieces and other useful objects. Some of this work involves skilled artisans connected with the Odijo Foundation, which supports people recovering from drug addiction through vocational training and woodworking.
These collaborations reflect an approach we increasingly value: making better use of materials already available while creating products that are functional, commercially viable and made to a consistent standard.
Kenyan-Made Products for Homes and Hospitality
Our Made in Kenya collection is used not only in homes but also across Kenya's hospitality sector.
For hotels, restaurants, lodges and other hospitality businesses, locally manufactured products can provide opportunities for customisation, shorter supply chains and closer collaboration with manufacturers.
Whether you are looking for Kenyan-made kitchenware, wooden serving boards, recycled steel home accessories, locally made gifts or hospitality products, the aim remains the same: products that deserve to be chosen for their design, function and quality as much as for where they were made.
